Report of the 3nd Mission to Bangladesh ( provision of foodstuffs )

On Wednesday, the 29th of April 2009, a team of members of Heart Doctors flew to Dhaka ( formerly Dacca ), the capital of Bangladesh.

The purpose of the mission was to provide basic foodstuffs to starving families living in poor districts of the city.

The provisions bought were sugar, wheaten flour and bottled drinking water. The quantity bought was transported by 20 cars to the poorest neighborhoods of the city where they were distributed.

The place was a slum, dirty and untidy; the atmosphere was suffocating and smelling badly.
Dhaka is the largest city of Bangladesh and one of the major cities of South Asia; it is located on the banks of the Buriganga River and has a    population of 12 million.
