Report of the 1st Mission to Gabon (Provision of Foodstuffs)

A team of "Heart Doctors" visited the area of Oklo near the city of Franceville in Haut-Ogooue Province, Eastern Gabon.

In this area in the past many uranium mines were functioning. Now people living there are in need of foodstuffs. Various kinds of basic food items were purchased and distributed to starving inhabitants.

Gabon is a country of West Central Africa (capital: Libreville, population: 1.500.000). The earliest inhabitants were pygmy people. France occupied the country during the period 1885-1960. In 1960 Gabon became an independent state. It produces oil manganese, iron, wood etc. and its per capita income is four times the average of Sub- Saharan Africa.
