Report of the 4th Mission to Madagascar (distribution of foodstuffs)

On Monday the 13th of January 2009, a team of members of "Heart Doctors" traveled to Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, in order to buy foodstuffs from local wholesale food markets and offer them to starving populations living near the capital.

Wheaten flour and rice were bought and distributed to very poor populations living 20 kilometers off the city. A part of that quantity was donated to an orphanage in Antananarivo (32 children of 3-17 years old live in the orphanage). Sheets, soap, various utensils, writing books and pencils for the children going to school were also offered to the same orphanage.
