7th Mission NIGER

On Wednesday, 26.3.2014, a team of Heart Doctors, flying by helicopter from Abuja, visited Zinder, a city of Southern Niger. The purpose of the visit was to buy from wholesale markets in Niger staple foodstuffs and offer them to poor nomadic populations of shepherds staying in the wider area around Zinder. This land and the populations staying their with their animals are suffering now from drought and hunger. Heart Doctors purchased maize flour, rice and milk powder for children and distributed them to representatives of Fulani, Tuareg and Hausa ethnic groups who transported them by donkeys to the places where they stayed with their herds.
